The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences was established simultaneously with the establishment of the Muhammadiyah University of Kendari campus in 2001 based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education No. 149/D/O/2001. Currently, FISIP UM Kendari oversees several study programs including the Masters Program (S2) in Government Science, Study Program (S1) in Government Science, Study Program (S1) in Visual Communication Design (DKV), and Vocational Program (D4) in Public Relations and Digital Communication.
